So I bought a brand new Pitts trailer 55ton lowboy. It came with cheap ### Zenna tires and I’ve had 4 of them come apart in a month. I don’t know if it’s the tires themselves or I’m doing something wrong etc….but I’ve never had this many issues with tires.
I don’t drag them on pavement (90degree turns) I lift my rear axle when I’m in a tight area.
I check them everytime I stop (kick and inspect tread)
I DO however run a lil fast by some People’s standards (75-80)
The tires are dated 42week of 2020
I just replaced 2 and just noticed another one is cracking. ( Tire shop only had 2 in stock)
But they literally seem to be coming apart.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Hey, did you tell the place you bought it from? That's six grand they pocketed by putting trash on your trailer. They ought to eat it in my opinion.
Man, seeing those pics seriously pisses me off. -

I think those tires are only rated to go 75 mph. Could be the cause if running 80.

Zenna is owned and marketed by American Pacific Industries and made in china. Zenna is one of those manufacturers that skirt right on the edge of tread pattern patent infringement. They copy the big four makers patterns and change them just enough to keep legal. We inspectors suspect they build them from the scraps that the big four sweep of the floors. They will come apart in this heatwave in a heartbeat.

Heat caused by higher then spec speed is not gonna matter much anymore when limiters go in to effect.Phoenix Heavy Haul, God prefers Diesels and Siinman Thank this. -
On my RGN when I bought it last year(Brand new), it came with Roadmasters, they were actually pretty decent. But, they started wearing funny(trailer cannot be aligned) So I replaced them about 2 months ago. Tires are one area I wont skimp on, especially on my RGN. Now I just purchased a conestoga and found some decent priced Kelly tires to throw on there.

Speed, heat. Even junk tires will do alright at 65-70. But I think the heat is probably the biggest factor
