like I said before, look into servicing Bison and getting some of your own trailers. Look at Alpha Beta, he was 1 truck at Bison, now they’re 30 trucks and their own trailers, while still pulling Bison and Lightspeed.bzinger Thanks this. -

Most Major types of unionized courier/freight companies that also have freight divisions are changing their Collective Agreements to this type of ordeal. I believe because its becoming difficult for them to obtain younger Truck Drivers these days oppose to a decade ago. Certain Provinces already have these things in place because again there's a lesser amount pf drivers to choice from. Unions are good for a little more job security, some 'Seniority job position as Drivers/Owner Operators' over time. However, if a new driver lacks on listening to a list of rules such as being in uniform at all times when at work etc..they shouldn't bother with unionized jobs. For some, the significant monetary benefits from wages being more than 21% more, pensions, bonuses, Night Premium pay etc... At the end of the day I would like to think money should be objective but also understand the political issues when working for unionized companies. With YRC the only way most achieve anything is waiting it out and getting the contract for their truck or knowing someone who's leaving at the right time. There's a lot of variables involved. But trust me there's a lot of ##*****es who are super pretentious at these places its unbelieveable.

Federated Coop, FedEx, UPS etc etc etc anywhere with a seniority system with O/Os, this is going on.H827OUT Thanks this. -
Yrc bought out reimer to get the Canadian authority. The yrc/reimer drivers pulling pups are not allowed to hook or break sets, or do any activity. Yard mule does it all as that’s his bid. The seniority he’s talking about is probably for the o/o’s as they get dispatched that way as well.
