    Hi guys,

I just bought a 2010 T660 with a the kenworth built in xm radio (yes kenworth, not kenwood) It has the antenna installed on roof. I can tune the channels, but all say "no signal". Any tips for fixing this before i rip apart the dash trying to find a bad connection? How do I pull the radio out to see if its connected in the back?

    Thanks

Ps,...on an unrelated note, (i dont want to start several threads about my t660) Is there a trick to getting the arm rest to swivel behind the seat? The driver is stuck forward and the passenger is stuck behind it.

Did you attach service to that radio? They don't come with XM service. That's the first thing I thought of since you didn't mention having signed up for service.

Sounds like the antenna coax is bad or the antenna coax plugged in the back of the radio is not seated fully. If you've only tried the radio while parked on the north side of a large building or in a shop, you will get this as well.

I have not signed uo for service yet, but the preview channel should play and it should get service without subscription.

They can be gotten out. If you have a newer truck, look through all the truck manuals and look for the radio manual bag. It may have a special radio removal tool that you press in from the front of the radio and allows the radio to be "pulled out" to access the rear of the radio.

Are you sure the truck has a factory install antenna? You'll find out if you can't find the antenna coax connector in behind the radio

The manual doesn't cover radios lol...It just warns about not not being distracted by it while driving. Left has a radio antenna (that does work) and right has a black plastic bunp about the size of an xm antenna, so i believe it is factory installed.

The new W9s with the artic package are having satellite connectivity issues, so you may be having the same thing... any good KW dealer should know about it. All they do is move the antenna out to the mirror brackets and it works great from then on
