Hey all im just about due for new shoes on the drives, and in the past i have ran Michelin, XDA's and Yokohama 577 Bridgestone 720's and some Ohtsu tires that looked good but once half gone the traction really went to the birds

so i am looking at the XDN2's and am wanting to hear from people that have ran them, im looking at starting to run Canada and up to AK and thought these tires might be a better choice thanks Alec

I had them on before these Kelly's. I will go back to them when it is time. With all the sipes in their tread pattern they are by far the best tire on the market for snow and rain. I got 432,000 miles out of them, so they are worth their price. They are a little bit wider than the average drive tire, but I never noticed a decrease in fuel mileage.

Great tire. Have used both virgin and Michelin XDN2 cap. Both are great. Once they get down to 30% they wear like iron. I run the Rockies in western Canada and never have an issue. They aren't a total winter deep tread but a great all-round tire.

Have them on our T600 which came from a fleet of 90+ trucks that ran them and know a few others in the area who also like them.

So far I am impressed with them. The amount of siping in them is crazy. They have a wide footprint and wear very evenly. They wont plow through snow drifts but will really shine on roads that are dusted with snow, icy or wet.

Michelin is a good brand, any of their products will treat you well. I have yet to find one that wont work as performed. They are a "premium" brand and often net the highest prices but they deliver for every dollar as well. We use their tires in a lot of off road applications. Their ag tires have the smoothest ride, best wear and great traction as well. They are really starting to make a presence in the ag market which used to be dominated by firestone. Michelin spends a lot of time and money on development and R&D and it shows, they always have the new ideas. Then the rest seems to follow.

While the XDN2 is not the the worse tire available in respect to rolling resistance, it is not very fuel efficient either. It really is a middle ground. It is only slightly higher rolling resistance than the M720 Bridgestone, yet provides a great deal more traction. Excellent on wet roads. I am using XDN2 in a wide based version and like 'em quite a bit. Very smooth riding, excellent traction, and they wear nice. And I am averaging over 7.5 mpg with them. If you need the traction then look for the best deal you can and get them.
