I have a 18 Cummins x15 performance. Only 89k on it. Was thinking about asking Cummins to increase the hp and tq. Its at the stock 565/1850. I was told they simple change the programing. Is there any risks with this? Blowing heads or what not? Anyone done it?

A former brother in law pulls 140,000 lbs every day he had a factory 605/2050 . He ended up turning it down to 565/1850 because his co worker kept up with him but burnt way less fuel.. He said the 605 required more rpm to stay cool on harder pulls than the 565 setting . He drives a w900 as does his co worker. With 80 k loads it might not be the case though.
