    Only one I have ever gotten really po'd at was at Lamar, CO. This broad was just looking for someone to take her #$## out on. Was about to tell her off, but remembered that I am supposedly older and wiser now days. And I had all paperwork and OD permits in order. She even got pissed that I hadn't removed staples and put hers on top instead of OK. Just bit my tongue and said thank you and have a nice day. She looked up and after a second she said you too.

    Generally, Wyo. has the easiest scales to deal with. Unless you piss them or unless a driver from your company has pissed them off. Sheridan is the only "supercoop" in Wyo. although NB. Cheyenne, WB Cheyenne, and EB Evanston are slated to get them in the next 10 yrs. Sheridan also the only that will play the most games with you, it's 80% women (even the inspectors) at that port and they like to prove that they can do a man's job.

    The only time you have to stop at the Gillete scale is if you are coming in from the So. on 59, or if you need permits that you didn't already obtain at Sundance. The main reason for the scale in Gillette was to nail guys who would come the back way out of Mt. to avoid the old scale on 90 as the one on 212 in Mt. was often closed.

    Sheridan is a joint MT/WY scale since the closing of the one at Lodge Grass (I think thats where it was at)

    The one in Gillette is not enforced on 59 NB.

    That was a joint deal of both states, the old Sheridan scale was too much of a PITA to access and with the amount of trucks they had to do something. Plus Lodge Grass was hardly ever open, when they relocated Sheridan to the top of the hill, MT closed Lodge Grass. However, it is not officially closed. They still use it, I've seen troopers sitting inside the building and watching trucks go by, then at random they will hit the switches, the scale is still certified.

    Gillette, that depends. If you catch a trooper in the wrong mood, or if a local cop suspects something fishy, you'll be visiting that scale. The last dozen times I've been to Gillette I've ignored it as well, but a co-worker got drug over there by Sheriff's deputy last year because he suspected he was dodging the scale. He wasn't.

    In wyoming, you do not have to go to weigh stations unless they have signs that say that you have to ("all commercial vehicles must enter", or similar), as long as you have already been cleared by another weigh station on that trip. Seriously. I went in one in the middle of the state, dont remember where it was, but i was ribbed for interrupting the scalemaster's nap. They even had a picture of the sign on the wall to point at when everyone stops there.

    It's official in Wyoming, but if you think about it, the only thing that gives you the requirement to enter a weigh station is the sign that tells you to go in it... :)

    Wait.. so Yellow mean stop and come in with your paperwork?
    There was no signage there telling me what color light meant what so I rolled over the scale, it stayed yellow which in America means "proceed with caution", so I just rolled on out!
    If they wanted me to stop I figured it would show red... crap! :(
    No super troopers chased me down so I figured I did it correctly.

    I did notice a cone course set up there and a rig was doing a backing/driving test or something.. dunno what that was about.
