Hey, I wonder what are the worst brokers you guys consider working with?
My personal are:
1. Landstar
2. TQL.
3. Global Tranz
This sums up the TQL:

This sums up Landstarve:

However Global Tranz hasn't been much better. Getting your money paid, you have better chance milkin a chicken before a cow sputs a drop of milk for you. Another one I don't like working with is freightquote. There are also company like R2's, and Mannins, and so on, but I've never worked with them, just saw their offerings, and denied to work with them!
What are your worst brokerages you worked with? Why?

Worst brokerages? They all have a reason for being naughty.....
TQL- Pretty simple-Young n dumb kids with no knowledge of logistics
Mercer- Pays their lease operators MORE than outside carriers
Any large carrier whom is also a brokerage is terrible to work with
UTI-Intransit- Lifeless agents working from home who are half asleep -Gougers at their finest hour
i can go on n on (Stephen Bishop circa 1977)
Who have i worked with who was an honest- no smoke n mirrors or dog n pony show brokerage?
JMC group- Whom are a repetuable 3pl for major steel shippers (really not a broker)
Federal logistics -A plus and honest business folks
Worldwide logistics- Fair -But useable- They take an HONEST 6%-Work on volume with documented proof,Even spot market common carrier freight.TallJoe Thanks this. -
Too Quirky Loco's are the worst of the worst. Multiple postings that are bogus, agents that don't have the first understanding of what it takes to run a truck, make you jump through hoops to get any load info out of them. Constantly call all hours of the day with check calls, waking up office personal and drivers both. If they want to know where the trucks are each and every minute of the day they should go buy their own, get their own drivers, and put trackers on them.
Coyote used to be really good until UPS bought them out, now they have just as much garbage freight as Too Quirky Loco's.
LS well it is hard to tell exactly how many brokers have touched the freight before you get a hold of it. They have some good agents, but most are bad, they work off the same load boards as the rest of us and then turn around and sell the loads to those poor BCO's and Independents that don't know any better.
I could give you a list of at least 500 dishonorable brokers and only about 100 that I would call honorable. Pretty sad is it not that out of 4000 of them that we have worked with, that I would only recommend 100 as honorable. Bet they say the same thing from their side as well, but I will be the numbers will be even worse for honorable truckers (carriers).
Not much honor left in our industry anymore.TallJoe, whitewings and old iron Thank this. -

By the way I have never heard any bad words against Mercer, inside or outside. That says a lot for them right there. I was just curious when you say first pick, are you sure they did not run it through the brokerage firm first?
Most two authority companies do.
