A good example of a idiot that is a moving road hazard.

    http://www.naplesnews.com/news/2012/aug/01/crash-closes-southbound-lanes-i-75-north-naples/

"David Albers/Staff - A Nissan Altima is towed from the scene of an accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near the Vanderbilt Road underpass on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, in Naples. A 41-year-old Bonita Springs woman and a child were seriously injured in the accident when a pickup truck's bed liner flew off and obstructed her view, causing her to swerve and get hit by a dump truck."
Glad no one was killed. Hope they make a full recovery.

    Prayers to those involved.

I myself keep a wary eye open whenever I see mattresses and box springs being carried on top of a car for the same reason.

I get nervous when behind trucks hauling ladders. A distance cousin of mine has permanent disabling injuries from a ladder coming off a pickup, through the windshield of his big truck. The ladder struck him in the face along with his windshield glass.

Sorry to hear that indeed. Those make me nervous as well, as they can get hit once free and fly around quite a bit as they break apart. And you see a (to me) surprisingly large number of ladders shattered on the highway. I would think they would be one of the easier items to secure properly.....

Well, it sits in the back of my pickup sitting still, it should be good when I'm doing 75 mph...... They ought to make a law that anything above the rails of a pickup bed need to be secured.

All posts have a point, if we, the truckers have to secure stuff. Then they need to, even if its a plastic bin. Objects that aren't secured can become missiles, remember, ours hoods are fiberglass. They can get hit and shatter everywhere, big chucks can take a small car out!
