Anyone running one on their truck, is it worth putting it on to get better fuel mpg in winter?

Really don't need one on the new epa engines. Or any engine for that matter. Unless it is subzero weather. And I would only close it off when sitting in subzero weather. Never going down the road.

As long as your truck operates in its "normal" range, it is unnecessary. One should only be considered if your engine struggles to maintain proper temps. If you run one unnecessarily, it may cause overheating issues, so keep an eye on your temp gauge. Personally, I've never had a truck that needed one.

If my grille gets 50% clogged with snow she starts getting hot if not at highway speed. Can't imagine if I put a front on that she would do much but start cookin
