    Sorry for the thread hijack.
But if it gets cold enough in an area to gel summer diesel, do the stations not switch to winter blend diesel?

Thanks, now does it matter if I pour that or an other additive in the fuel tank and don't run the truck to much my season ends the end of Nov? But will start the truck occasionally. Thanks.

When I lived in Michigan I used Power Service products as well. Never had an issue with gelling fuel.

The best stuff I have ever found is isopropyl alcohol (also known as rubbing-alcohol)... 90% or higher. Down to -10 degrees Fahrenheit I use 4 oz for every 100 gallons of diesel, any colder amd I will double that dose. I have never gelled up since switching to this.

It is dirt cheap compared to other diesel treatments, is safe for ALL diesel engines, also works as air-line antifreeze, helps keep windshield washer fluid from gettimg slushy or frozen in spray nozzles, sterilizes wounds, and more.

    Doesn't rubbing alcohol contain water?

Thats why you use the 90% or higher stuff... You get more water in you fuel from condensation than you would from 4 oz of 90%/100 gals of diesel.

Edit: normal rubbimg alcohol is only 70%
