Hello everyone! I want to put tint on the TOP half of my front windows in my tractor. I wear sunglasses and try to use the fold down visor in truck...But, sometimes that isn't enough. I see other trucks on the road with looks like "silver" on the top half of the front windows. Looks good, and that is what I need. Question is -> what is that called? Is it only available in silver? Can you still see through it? Where can I get it?

Make sure you check your local and state laws. As well as States you travel in. They very. I live in Idaho. Idaho state law is very lean about tint, but I do a lot of work in Utah, which is very strict on tinted windows. Just a heads up before you do it.

I had a white pete with tinted windows. A state patroll officer in NE was going the other way, did a flip and puled me over just for the tint. He put a probe on it that told him the percentage of tint and wrote me a ticket for it. The company made me remove it after that. I don't know if you ever removed window tint but it isn't fun

I was crusin' in Arizona in my pickem' up truck, 2500HD Duramax. The officer ws in the median running radar, I was speeding a little, about 85. He stopped me just for my tint and let me go on the speeding ticket. When he put the probe on my window it said 2%. SO I had it just a little dark, but t had been that way for almost a year and I had never been stopped before.

You gotta be careful...for some reason the figure 38% and I'm thinking that is the factory tint on some glass....

Ditto for ND.... -
I was fortunate that on both windows it came off easily, but I wasn't a happy camper. Seems like this shouldn't be the case. If your traveling from state to state how can you be expected to be in compliance with rules, regulations and laws that vary? Just a bunch of BS to me...
Yeah, yeah, quit whining. I know... -
Iowa will get you for that sort of thing too!

I have it on my windshield it is not tint. I got mine at auto zone it is the chrome stuff you see on peoples rocker panels on their cars and trucks it comes in a roll 8 inches by 14 feet you can put it on in about 10 minutes and its the best thing I ever did to my truck I can look right at the sun through it and it looks about the size of a quarter. Now you can see street lights through it at night but you can't see through it in day light to well. just clean your wind shield real good and I just used windex spray your window real good and wet peel the clear film off of the chrome put it on window trim it to fit with razor knife squeege it out with a credit card
