So I see that tinting your windows is pretty much illegal. It I found a product in Walmart that sticks to your window with static. Peels write off and can reuse.
Would this still be illegal to use on driver and passenger window?
Window shade. Allowed?

The thing is, if you get stopped and they cant write a ticket for that...they'll find something else wrong.
I see drivers with those sun blockers in their windows all the time. I think they are mesh? -
Yes I was going to get the mesh roll down one. But figured that would really prevent me from seeing my mirror.
I'm just trying to avoid getting my arm and face destroyed from the sun. -
You might be able to get away with a light tint, taking a chance that they won't notice it.
-
Yeah but this product I got is like 20% but isn't permanent installed. Peels right off and can reuse.
I think horseshoe might be right they will pull me over thinking it's installed tint and then find something else to ##### about -
I can't figure the roll down shades. How am I supposed to wave as I pass? How do the ash their cigarettes?
Got super light uv tint on all the glass in my cab. Can't even tell it's there but sure helps the inside temps. And there's limo tint on all the sleeper glass.Father Luke, hal380 and HorseShoe Thank this. -
3M makes a window product that blocks UV rays and reduces heat, but it clear so no worries about LE.
Edit: Just looked at 3M website, says 90%. I think the law is 95%. But I think it would be hard to notice. I'm going to give it a try.Last edited: Jul 26, 2015
