Truckers do you know any affordable windshield replacement near Clarksville,IN or Louisville,KY that comes to you or can come to them? How much is it to replace it? I check on satelite but no luck for appointment on weekend. Freightliner Cascadia 3018 chip is located on the edges so I doubt its repairable also they want $550 for new. I went through a bridge and something hit my windshield made a bad crack. I don't know if I can get away with DOT with this one. I tried to put a glue to prevent more crack but It gotten worst and more obvious Its in passenger side out my wiper blades as you can see. Any advice is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Since it's not in your direct field of vision it's fine for now until you can find a place to replace it at a reasonable price.
jammer910Z Thanks this. -
I get my best deal on glass from my local kw dealership body shop normally like 150 a side installed .....call around to local dealerships prices will vary Joplin mo fl is normally pretty competitive for parts at least

I will try to shop around locals. Yeah mostly they have better deal than big names. What part of joplin? Do they come in Truck stop? Do you know anyone that does the work there? -
Lol. "Chip".
LMFAO.
My insurance covers two replacements a year, so I no worry.
I do know Volvo in Phoenix will do a 670 for $175 installed in like an hour.
Freightliner. And I have a Cascadia, I think I'd take it anyplace but a Freightliner dealer.
Isn't yours a two piece? That should be like $150 max. -
I know the Kenworth dealership in Joplin is real good for glass i.ve never used frieghtliner I knew a fair glass shop in Dodge City too but can't recall thier name
roadx27 Thanks this. -
Its single window and safelite wants $550 for replacement. I wish its a split, would have been cheaper. -
$550 is robbery.
I run the PacNW and they spread gravel and lava rock on the road in the winter.
I get busted windshields all the time.
I can guarantee my employer doesn't pay that for replacements.
You'll be fine with that for a short while til you can find someone reasonable to fix it.
Beware, though.. as rough as these roads are that thing may spider all the way across soon. I'd risk it before I'd pay $550.
Check the Yellow Pages.. or if you're a youngster and don't know what YP is, Google local glass replacement service.
Stay away from Safelite... They're paying for commercials and a national fleet of trucks, plus they like to turn it into insurance so the can gouge.Last edited: May 6, 2018

Sure is. I will then follow your advice while shopping around locals and find a better deal. Hopefully I can get away with DOT regardless of the crack. Thank you for the advice.
