Which one do you put you straps into for load securement? Do you call it a winch or wench?

I'm a southern Ohio hillbilly redneck. I use winches. And pronounced the same as wenches.

Well I suppose stowing your "Cargo" in a wench could be considered a form of load securement...:biggrin_25523:

I would be afraid to stick my winch bar in some of them wenches to tighten up, even if they do need it.

Ok y'all, settle this one for me:

My wife calls a stream of water a 'crick'.
I call it a 'creek', as it should be.

    Who's right?

I tried to use my bar to tighten the wench, but the wench got loose, and all the cargo fell out
