Used to be great folks to work for. I worked for them in the late 80's...and actually talked to them up in Reno last month, & it looks like it's the same old company. Mike Williams is one if the most genuine people you'll meet. Equipment is always good to excellent.

If I had decided to stay in Reno...I'd probably be there right now.

    Good Luck

Thanks for the input. I work for coca cola currently and have always wanted to haul fuel. Im 22 with 3.5 years of experience and a clean record.
A williams driver told me they would hire/train me.

Williams Tank Lines is a good company. It's clearly a family business.

They do not pay OT, but consider that the hourly rate is above average for what most driving jobs will pay. Also, the benefits are excellent and the company incurs a huge cost, so that is also a plus. I had a fuel hauling job that paid OT but the health insurance was so expensive, it was almost cost prohibitive (like $900 a month)... So all in all, it's a fair deal.

A lot of people complaint that they're only making $21.50 straight time, but that's a better deal than making $18/hr with OT and having your medical benefits at $1000 a month.

You also need to consider how a company treats their drivers. My previous company frankly treated me like a worthless number. Williams Tank Lines seems to treat people fairly well. The owner Mike Williams seems to be very reasonable and approachable.

I have 2 friends that are o/o's there, they both say it's the best job they've ever had. Good pay, honest people. Do your job properly & you'll be treated with respect.

I heard those o/o's take home about 150k per year after all expenses. They haul semis, not t/t, mostly oil... they are kind of like regional drivers, out of state, sleeping in the sleeper. home on weekends.
