Will trucking companies be looking at my credit score before they hire me?

i just came off a bankruptcy and unemployment when transam hired me good luck
asdf4321 Thanks this. -
I've had some companies want to check my credit. The thing is, they have to ask me in order to do it. Mine is frozen. I have to unlock it before it can be pinged. Bridgestone will check it.

I suppose a few do, especially those that have "lease" programs. Maybe with bad credit, they won't all the time be hassling you to leave company driver position for leaser-operator position.

i leased from trans am also so that isn't always the case
asdf4321 Thanks this. -
I don't know the answer to the OP's question but I think trucking will create the opportunity to rebuild credit. Nothing suggests good credit better than a steady income.

Conway checked mine. Most companies are using it as a condition of employment under the premise that if you have bad credit you are more apt to steal stuff. That pesky little 3 digit score will getcha
