I've done some wide loads but nothing more than 12 feet wide and never needing an escort.
What the process like lining that up, time and costs involved?

If you need some contacts shoot me a PM with your area.
cke Thanks this. -
I paid 1.70 a mile for a pole car the other day for 290 miles.
usually should be about 1.55-1.75 a mile just for a chase car. Depending on the area, a lot of times if its under a certain mileage, they will throw a day rate at you, usually 4-500$ a day.blairandgretchen and cke Thank this. -
Make sure you discuss things like no go’s and day rates. A front door should cost you more than a chase. A high pole on the front door costs a bit more. A steer will cost you more than a front door. It’s all about the work load and responsibility.
After you agree on rate, check their equipment, required safety gear and insurance. Remember some states require different placement of signs and flags. Even color of flags or lights. Some states like NM and NY require a separate certification.blairandgretchen Thanks this.
