why is it so important that the name on dl matches name on ssc?i get it if its robert/bob but my ssc says full name and my licence has initial. im getting it fixt so i can go to orintation for usx but just dont understand the big deal

Not sure the big Deal. My birth certificate has E for my middle name but my DD214, SS card, pilots license has A for my middle name. My drivers license, bank account I have signed including my mortgage has E for middle name. Go Figure?

People have been caught driving big trucks with someone else's CDL in their pocket. This is probably one way they are trying to stop that. That might be your twin brother's license, after all

Is there such a law or is it just your company policy? I have never had that problem and it's different on mine. I could see if a woman got married and changed her name but all others seem overkill to me. If you have a law, please list it.

WHAT! you dont know why the name on a DL need to match the name on a S.S. card?, Just makes sence to me that they should match, Or unless your trying to hide something

I have my full middle name on my ss card and just my middle initial on my dl. never had a problem

Mine is initial on first name and full middle..ssc is full evrything..they suggested i go get ss changed so i dont hav to wait another week on the licence branch to reissue dl..hope they r rite
