I was scrolling through indeed and saw that some CDL B jobs aren't really paying that much different than non cdl delivery drivers at amazon. Why is that????? in fact, I saw some amazon drivers starting pay was better than the CDL B jobs I saw

    Supply and demand, I guess.

Depends on your location, and what CDL-B jobs are available.

I've seen people humping packages out of an Amazon sprinter, and I sure wouldn't want any part of that.

Working like UPS for 1/3 of the pay.....

Right, and location. If you're in a dead area, the pay will be low. If you live in BFE, then you need to move.
Move to Nevada or Arizona or South Dakota and you'll get a big pay raise and no state income taxes.

You can't expect every single employer to pay the same. All operations are different. Also consider there are ways to pay that aren't hourly per se. What are the health insurance benefits? PTO? Vacation? OT? It's all compensation in kne form or another.

Because the class B license is very easy to get. It is just a step above no license.

Because of that fact, anyone can drive a straight truck which is cheap freight.

"anyone can drive a straight truck" not in my state. Bad drivers here, that can't even drive a regular car

A Class B job is hardly a CDL job. Pretty much the lowest barrier into the trucking industry and easiest license to get other than your regular license.
