Looking to buy a new dry van and was looking for opinions on which companies builds the better ones. I leaning towards Great Dane P101 16" elogs, insulated with heat to haul temp freight in winter.
Who makes the best Dry Van Trailer?????

Im an O/O leased to Landstar hauling general freight. Have a Trailmobile now looking to upgrade and get a new trailer mine is 5 years old and looking for something fit my needs at Landstar.

Hands down great Dane. They weigh a little more then wabash, utility, and Dorsey but it weighs more cause it's a well built trailer. If you can get corrugated panels I would spend the extra 650$ and get it. When the trailer gets older the corrugated helps extend the life of the side panels.
slow.rider and terryt Thank this. -
Stoughton is good too

Stoughton and Utility where the other two on my short list.

I've always pulled Utility, Wabash, and Great Dane. Agree with others Great Danes are the heaviest but well built trailers. Like all three. One area where Great Dane has a big edge over others is parts availability in the dealer network according to info from this forum.
terryt Thanks this. -
Stoughton and utility are in the same price bracket Dane is a little more. All allow for henderickson suspension upgrades which are a great idea if your planning on keeping the trailer for 10+ years. If your specing a trailer out it's always better to spend more upfront from the factory if the trailer is for you, it will save money later. If it's for your drivers then you can try to save money upfront cause they'll bang it up on you anyway.

No this trailer will be pulled by me only. Thanks for the advice my trailer now is a basic trailmobile. It will be the Great Dane.
