Did some digging. The Paccar MX13 has a B10 rating at 1 million miles. Which means 10% of engines will need a overhaul before 1 million miles. Pretty good, but not a bell ringer by any stretch of the imagination. The B50 rating you mention would mean that 50% of the engines would need rebuilt before 1 million miles. Something that would keep me from buying any engine. On the B10 rating, Paccar is quite clear, with no mention of a B50 rating in sight. Read for yourself....

All these engines have no mention of overhaul intervals having anything to do with the B5, B20, or B100 rating, these are the only currently marketed cutoff levels from the bio diesel board, that is an approval by the manufacturer of what percentage can be ran without any risk of voiding warranty work.
Here is the complete list with what levels they are approved for.
http://biodiesel.org/docs/default-source/ffs-basics/diesel-vehicle-list.pdf?sfvrsn=18
The 6.7L power stroke ford currently offers is listed with a B20 rating, has nothing to do with rebuild interval and all to do with acceptable levels. -
In our company (300ish trucks give/take) you can't come into a drivers break room and swing a dead cat without hitting a driver that has had emissions issues with these engine. But, the reason the boss went to Paccar was because the Cummins they were buying had the same problem. He's dead set on buying Pete's, so 6 one way 1/2 dozen the other, and the castrated Paccars they have here get way better MPG than the ISX's ever did.Last edited: Aug 1, 2016

SmokinCAT, Did you even look at the link? Obviously not. The B10 rating of the Paccar on that link specifically states that it is a B10 rating of 1 million miles. It has nothing to do with biodiesel. It is about the percentage of engines requiring overhaul rating before 1 million miles. No one is selling B50 at a pump anyway. Call Paccar and see if I am full of something that comes out the south end of a north bound bull. They will clearly elaborate that the B10 rating, like on the link to the specification sheet, has to do with overhaul percentage rating before 1 million miles.
Have you even seen a biodiesel percentage rating list miles? So what is Paccar than saying using your form of reasoning..... that you can't use B10 for 1 million miles or that you can use B10 for 1 million miles and then you have to stop using it? You really need to get up to speed on what is being mentioned from an OEM about B rating. They specifically will say biodiesel when they give the level of acceptable biodiesel.rocknroll81 Thanks this. -
Yeah the first time I saw that I was like "what in the world??"
