Who makes "PACCAR" engines?

They were originally made by MAN from Europe. Paccar redesigned some components and now builds them at a plant in the US

There are design and testfacilities in both the USA and the Nederlands. -

Well, that is good to know. i still don't trust them because they are new. i would go cummins if i go with a Paccar truck. Can you get a Detroit in a paccar truck?

MX 13 has been around since '06.
So depends on what you call new. -
Personally I'd stay away from any proprietary engine and stick with Cummins, Detroit or Cat.
ETA. I guess Detroit is pretty much a proprietary engine these days but Freightliner has such a huge dealer network getting service wouldn't be an issue.
