This is a 'story' going around my trucking buddies.

Apparently one of them claim to have gotten pulled for inspection in CT and got put OOS because their bedsheet was not white and their pillows were not safety pinned to the bunk?

I smell bs, but I wanted to run this by you guys for amusement.

    scottied67 and JimDriv3r Thank this.

Ask them what code the citation had on it.

When I first left the farm people always talked about it but could never cite a code. Said something about bandages.

    It is not in 393.76

I love it--haven't heard THIS ONE in years--great story used to be one of the mess w/newby stories back in the day--heard it dozens of times when I was a kid w/dad--and that was a loooooooong time ago--LOL
Best part was if a real old hand was telling it--and I mean back in the 60's the way they would set you up was to ask you if you understood the purpose of the "NEW"interstate highway system--then you got the full treatment--how Eisenhower drove x-country in 1917 or some hooey and knew since then balh blah--bottom line was(and is true to an extent)the I system was designed for the military to expedite troops in times of war--and then they would tell you--how if war broke out here at home--trucks would be commandeered by the Military and IF you had a sleeper--how it would be used for an ambulance for the wounded--and therefore YOU HAD TO HAVE WHITE SHEETS because white is the ONLY color that is STERILE---
Anyway at least from when I was young---Know you know the rest of the story!!!
But--you could use the ambulance etc...stuff--if you want to get over on the next guy!! LMAO

:biggrin_2559:This is older than "Calling the U.S. Marshals !" It was always somebody's buddy who got the ticket, I've never found someone who actually received one. And like Tazz said, no one ever knows what the code was on the ticket.:biggrin_25512:

    ‘Olhand Thanks this.

I've heard that the white sheets were supposedly to cover the dead in a fatality accident.
