I am just wondering in all of your opinions which load boards are best? I am looking at truckstop, DAT, and some fairly new one called directfreight. My uncle uses truckstop, but he also does hotshot and usually ends up hammering himself when he goes out loaded and delivers, to get another load.

Truckstop is good if you're a flatbedder. For dry van and reefer, DAT is better, but a bit over-priced. I just downgraded to their $80+ monthly plan from the $135 plan, because the small differences between the plans don't justify an additional $50.

    Have DAT and truckstop.

Don't agree about flatbed freight. I'm using mostly DAT for flatbed freight. More loads and they showing up soonerat DAT.

Also downgraded my DAT subscription because they switched to the new DAT one system and the new desktop interface is bad.

I run both DAT and Truckstop. I use them for lowbed, and occasional step/flat bed loads. Truckstop is 99% of my loads for lowbed. DAT is hit and miss for the rest.

That is about what my uncle said too, that truckstop is good for his hotshot flatbed. I was looking at DAT myself, but curious what the biggest differences are between the high dollar plan and the $80 one you mentioned. Is it just how soon you see "better" loads than everyone else?

Is the mobile app good? I have a laptop I keep on my truck but honestly hate pulling it out and then tethering to my phone and all that junk to use it.

Thank you all for your replies. I certainly appreciate any information you're willing to share.

EDIT: I pull a dry van.

It's 2 version of DAT now. DAT one - new system they want switch to and DAT power.

In my opinion, the mobile app is like 70% from DAT power desktop and around 95 % from DAT one desktop.

If I would have to choose between DAT one mobile app and Truckstop mobile app I would choose the DAT.

    Subscribe and use both!

One good paid load per month will cover the subscription cost and make profit.

And you can choose one later or let them both.

Last time with such market I use both of them.

I was thinking about that, signing up for 2 boards and then canceling whichever one I end up not using often after a period of time.

I disagree, the entire industry knows truckstop is the main source of open deck loads. Don't get me wrong, I think they are #### heads and hate their platform and how they operate as a business but it's where it's at for open deck. Good idea about it probably being best to have both though. One load a year off whichever isn't being used could pay for it 10x over.

Is there a difference that's significant between the DAT One Standard and the higher priced ones? It says its recommended for partial loads, that mean that is all you will see if you select that plan with DAT?
