We just ordered a new reefer and want to install a single row of e-track. I'm getting varied opinions from 2 to 4 feet off the floor. What say you, what would be the most versatile height?
Which height would you recommend to install E-track at?

Thank you, gents. Four feet seems about right. If we ever get into anything specialized, we can always add more rows.

When I ordered my van , I got 4 rows , one on the floor , one above the rub rail one around 3 feet and one around 4.5 feet , also got a double side door near the front and a moveable reefer wall with straps that lined up and connected to the etrac , that may seem extreme but it allowed me to haul multiple DOD loads separate by the wall and made lots of extra revenue , fast forward to today , the reefer wall is in the shed , I don't haul DOD any longer , but those etrac lines still come in very handy , the one on the floor can be used to load cars , just put in a cargo bar , drive car up to it and put another behind it , nail in a couple 2x4s on the side of each tire and go to the next car .
That bottom rail is also nice to secure low freight , I can use it like a flat bed to strap down .
If I had to order a reefer I guess I would order at least 2 etrac to give some other types of freight securement points . -
If you are using load locks and straps, you want the straps to offer horizontal strength to the trailer walls at their weakest point.
The weakest point in a trailer wall is half-way up. So I'd say put the rail at 4-5 feet, depending on internal height of trailer. -
I would want 4 rows installed so a double stacked load could have two straps across both the top and bottom pallets.

If one row, 3-4' is good.
If you can use two,
36" & 72" above floor will do about anythingFLCRACKER Thanks this. -
I’m trying to find the right river to attach the e track rails. I can’t seem to find anything longer than 1/2’..
