I’ve done that in a pinch once or twice before, but it isn’t always possible depending on how tore up your floor end plate is.

This is true, IF the forklift dummies actually know how to operate the machinery upon which they sit, that is actually taking the extra 1 1/2 seconds to raise the skids more than a 1/4” off the floor so the fork tips aren’t ramming that end plate constantly.

That's where a handcart comes in handy. Try to get under the freight and use the power of leverage to raise the freight and then try to drag it over busted up metal plates or whatever left over screws or nails are stuck in the wooden floor boards.

Also used to do that with the 10 ft, 500 lbs rolls of vinyl. You get the front, I get the back and we pick up our ends together. Then just do a synchronized dolly run out the back of the trailer.

There sure is a lot of creative problem solving involved in this line of work.
