The pilot sucks but I was stuck there for a 34 once and there was a bar across the raod at a hotel and there were bus stops close by. I took off on foot and did a bunch of city exploring and went to the Natural History Museum and Denver Zoo but I hear Denver has an excellent bus system that is very affordable if you want to get out and explore. i went on foot so i could get in some good exercise. That Sapp Bros. is pretty decent and Im sure it has bus stops near by. Anyway, if you are going to be there for a couple of days get out and enjoy the city. Lots to do. The Zoo and Museum were great.

I'll take the Sapp Bros. over the TA anytime! The TA sees a lot more of the inexperienced drivers, because that's where the big fleets fuel; and I get nervous enough in a lot with a load of cars on! I usually park at the auction if I'm loaded, but at least at Sapp's I don't have to worry about the back of the load getting creamed. And there are spots at Sapp's most nights long after the TA has filled up.
Another plus: I hear the short-term girlfriends on the radio # the TA, but never been bothered at Sapp's. Maybe the Pervert Palace scares 'em off?Big Don Thanks this. -
Thats the Western Motor Inn across from the Pilot. Twenty years ago that was a good place to eat and drink beer at but it has gone down hill like most of all the old places. Nothing like it use to be, they use to have some dam good Mexican food. I use to live and work just north of it long before they built a Pilot their it use to be a PIE terminal.
If you go north of their on Vasquez Blvd/ Brighton Blvd. there is a old mom and pop cafe with plenty of truck parking across from the Freightliner dealer called Stephanie's Coffee Shop they have some really excellent home cooked food and plenty of it and a lot cheaper then the big corporate choke and pukes. They cater to truck drivers, bikers and just Ole blue collar workers. When you walk in they have those old velvet looking truck pictures hanging on the wall and the waitress are pretty good to look at and they are the type that can dish right back at yeah. -

I've heard plenty of stories about the rentaSTDs at the Sapps.
But never saw them.
The only problem with Johnson's corner is there is rarely any parking.
At the 240 there are 2 truck stops with motels and several different restaurants with in walking distance. Some fast food, some sit down. East of the big road at that same exit is a convenience store with truck fuel and a FEW parking spots. Used to be about 15 or so. Until they remodeled and took out a bunch of them. -
In four years of parking at Sapps in Denver, I've only been bothered by "the girls" once. I saw them being carted off by DPD later that morning. They have onsite security there.
The TA across the highway ALWAYS has problems with rentagirls...
Johnson's Corner is great if you get there early, coming south from Cheyenne. Its quite a bit out of the way from any other direction.
...and the cinnimon rolls are quite overrated. I've had better.Panhandle flash Thanks this. -
I have parked out on the street by Sapp Brothers and next to the Gay Truckers Pervert Store and never have been bothered by anyone.
