Where can one park for home time in the five boroughs of NYC for free? Is there somewhere to park outside of city where I can take public transportation into the city? Any help would be great!

Lots of trucks park on knapp street and there is also a lot there. Going along Flatbush through prospect park, in that area I also see trucks. Are you planning on truck and trailer or just the truck.
I forgot laurel hill boulevard, near the ups, many trucks park there.zoekatya and Marksteven Thank this. -

Try Brooklyn Terminal Market, over on Foster, I started driving out of there in the 70s, and parked there in the 90s when I visited family, its secure, but you might have to pay. I also parker at "Secure Parking" in Elizabeth N J, they charged for the spot, but it was a long comute.
Best of luck and safe miles.
