Where can one park for home time in the five boroughs of NYC for free? Is there somewhere to park outside of city where I can take public transportation into the city? Any help would be great!

most guys i know in the city have their own "spots"

in time, you will find one, otherwise, you have to park on long island or jersey until you find one

Brooklyn isn't going to be easy. What neighborhood are you in? Used to live in Gravesend myself.

My first guess would be somewhere in NJ. I once ended up parking overnight on the street at the end of Flatbush near Coney Island with no issues, other than me being angry for finding myself there due to a sign directing all trucks over 13' to exit NOW. Locals later told me, "That sign's been there forever, everyone has ignored it for 20 years."

Lots of trucks park on knapp street and there is also a lot there. Going along Flatbush through prospect park, in that area I also see trucks. Are you planning on truck and trailer or just the truck.
I forgot laurel hill boulevard, near the ups, many trucks park there.

You can park in the parking lot where deals, autozone, and staples is its at 680 meeker ave ave about a block from the metropolitan entrance for the bqe just park on the side of the parking lot by the McDonald's and sometimes there's street parking too you will see other trucks you can walk to Bushwick ave from there it's basically 1 block over to Bushwick it's self.

Try Brooklyn Terminal Market, over on Foster, I started driving out of there in the 70s, and parked there in the 90s when I visited family, its secure, but you might have to pay. I also parker at "Secure Parking" in Elizabeth N J, they charged for the spot, but it was a long comute.

Best of luck and safe miles.
