    Hi,

i am out of Columbus, OH and pricing cheap batteries
The truck is a 2007 Freightliner Columbia.

So far the cheapest i have found where at Freightliner Columbus for 925 CCA @$95 and 1125 CCA @$140.

i would prefer to get over 1000CCA.
I have called NAPA and Interstate batteries and both priced considerably higher.

If you not from Columbus, OH please share which chain store do you use to get cheaper batteries

Thanks for your help in advance

My batteries went out while I was at a shipper in Carson, CA. Called NAPA and they delivered 4 new batteries to my location for $85 ea + tax
    995CCA
They took the old ones back with them, and I finished installing the new ones about the same time shipper was finished with my load.

I bought NAPA batteries a year ago. They won't hold a charge. My truck has been parked three years. Takes a long time for them to charge, and a few days later it may not start. Could be one bad battery.
I used to get Freightliner Alliance batteries through my company. They would last a little more than four years.
I have had 750 and 1000 amp batteries. I didn't notice a difference in cranking.

    Bakerman Thanks this.

Batteries just don't last here in the desert, whether they are cheap or expensive.

650 cc last the longest they take the pounding of the road also handle the hard draws of starting. Also cheapest is not always the best you get what pay for

Does the truck have 3 or 4 battery set up? If it's 4, you don't really need that high of cca.

Always go with the lower cca. The spacing between the plates are bigger and tend to last longer.
Unless your up north at -35 most to all people don't need 1150 cca Batts.

Cheapest big truck batteries = Fleet Pride $69/ea. 1050CCA. Don't buy them.

Best value batteries - DEKA, 725CCA Dual Purpose batteries. Take the pounding, hold a charge a long time, $108/ea at Freightliner. Made in America, good quality. Buy them.

JB3, A21CAV and blairandgretchen Thank this.
