Is there a source for really good priced truck tires? Maybe the Internet or a particular truck stop?
Where is the best place to buy truck tires?

You won't usually find a good deal on tires at most truck stops. You can get imports at most Love's for less than most other truck stops. There is an independent shop in Cleburne that might work a deal with you. I don't remember the name, but they are not far from HEB closer to downtown.
I have a local distributor that I try to buy most of my tires. I have yet to find anyone who can beat their prices. Most are imports, some aren't. They have a large warehouse and have about any type of tire you can imagine. I believe that they will ship for free with a minimum purchase. They might have a dealer near you. If you want the name I can get it for you. They are located on the TN/GA line near Chattanooga, TN.
There is a tire shop in Houston off I-10 near I-610 if you get down in that area. I don't know anything about their pricing. Tires have gone up over 30% the last few months. -
I'd be interested in the name of that shop in TN. Can you pm me or post? Thanks, -
Call a few locally owned shops and let them know you are shopping around and are looking for a good deal. Tell them what you're looking for and leave your number. If you give them some time and a chance to get your business, they usually come up with some decent deals.
A truck stop is *usually* the last place you want to buy them from. TS's have a huge markup and feed on drivers whom are in between a rock & a hard place (i.e. have a hot load on and need to roll). Make sure you ask for a casing quote too. Good casings will bring between $50-125 each. -
This might come as a bit of a shock but TA usually is pretty good with the prices of new tires. I recently replaced my steer tires from a local shop in NJ and found the deal to be the same as TA. I have Bridgestone 726 EL on drives and they are listed cheaper on TA than my local shop. Go figure....

The company is called Diprima tire. Their phone number is 706-891-5000. Ask for Ron. They have an 800 number but I don't have it. They also have a website you should be able to find by Goggling their name. Their physical address is actually in Rossville, GA, but they are only a couple of blocks from the Tennessee line. -
If you have a PDCA card from TAB bank, you can buy tires through them on national account. I can usually buy for less through Diprima, but if you are on the road and don't have a spare tire with you, it could save you some money.
