Hi there, I have a 2013 Cummins ISX KW T660 that's getting code SPN 3216 FMI 4, which is
    Aftertreatment 1 Intake NOx
Voltage Below Normal, Or Shorted To Low Source

I'm guessing the sensor is shot. Anyone know the location of it?

    thanks!

It's by the turbo next to the fuel doser. I have seen them fail and it usually needs the sensor replaced, but that sensor is about $350, so don't guess, get it diagnosed.

Intake nox is located on catalyst
You can register at quickserve.cummins.com put engine s/n and get free engine service manual.

No, the inlet NOx sensor is right after the turbo, you must be thinking of outlet NOx or NH3 sensor, which are mounted in the SCR.

First time I called the dealer they couldn't find it, probably because he was looking in the engine component category. I'll have to call in the morning and try again and tell him to look in the aftertreament components. Unfortunately I can't get my hands on the truck to look at the part.

I'll post up a part number when I get it.

That would be awesome - then the parts guys can find it a lot easier! I know the inlet and outlet sensor are similar except the plugs are keyed differently for some reason...

Is that a newer part or is that different than 3687334RX? I was looking at a manual that lists 3687334RX is Figure 19
