I'm a former CATV tech so this caught my attention quickly. I noticed on almost every truck I've been in there is a spot for a tv with a 12V plug-in and a short piece of generally 59 coax that goes behind a panel. My question is where does it go? I've looked all over and don't see an antenna other than the mirror mount ones. Is one of them for CB and the TV? Most recent truck is a Freightliner Columbia if it matters. Thanks.
Where does that tv coax go??

I was told by the CB shop guy that the dual antennas on my cascadia were dual purpose. CB and TV.
Somehow my CB portion is broke, but the TV side works OK.

As well as the am/fm I've been told. The fitting was cut off mine, good thing I still had my tools and a 59 fitting! (another former cable guy, 8.5 years with Comcast)

The antenna is usually at the top of the sleeper along the back wall hidden behind the interior.

crash has it right--the tv anntenna is usually bonded to the sleeper cieling--and on some trucks--the cb antenna's do both the radio and the cb

Well with mine I honestly couldn't tell you as when I've plugged in it I don't get any sort of reception so I bit the bullet and spent the 5 bucks to add another receiver and dish to my directTV plan and just rigged up a portable dish mount from a load bar.

I don't think Over-the-Air digital TV signals are the same as satellite reception.
