We get most of our gear from midwest wheel because they have a store close by. Not sure how many locations they have or if it’s just an Iowa thing or what.

LOL, I’m glad I’m not the only one pulling crap out of dumpsters.

Buy a keg of chain and a bag of hooks and make them up yourself. It’s just chain to an industrial supply. Unless you’re determined to spend as much money as possible, then by all means buy a “load security device” already made up for a premium price. End of roll carpet stores are your go to for tarp protection. Corner protectors are whatever you find laying around that works. I keep tore up belts. My tarp shop makes up new belts with the tail chains. Cut the old belt in 18”-24” pieces, fold them 3 layers thick spread a little wider than a belt and have the tarp shop run a line of stitching down them. Tough, cheap, soft corner protectors.

Some trailer dealers that have a retail store have a good amount of securement and accessories. Not tarps.

Never underestimate a quick Facebook Marketplace search. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a flatbedder going to the dry van dark side.
Carolina Tarps for lightweight, 8 foot, 3 piece tarps and Mytee for featherweight tarps
Safety Snap binders from Northern tool using an advantage account (catch the sales)
Ratchet binders (mytee or Northern tool if they’re discounted)
20 foot chains from Lowes if you just need a few (Blue Hawk/about $40.00) order ship to home for free with minimum purchase
Longer chains or multiple chains, buy a barrel for around a thousand bucks or less and a big bag of hooks and make your own. With a decent set of bolt cutters or a good metal saw, it’s a piece of cake and definitely the cheaper way to go. You’ll have plenty of new chains for years)
Corner guards (us cargo, mytee, some shippers supply them, pickup off the ground, although I do like the homemade belt version too, they are very expendable and easily consumed, so don’t waste a dime more than you have too on them)
V-boards (two 1x4x48s and four pieces of an old strap cut 10 inches long. Lay the boards side by side long ways and staple the straps, evenly spread, to connect the boards. They’ll fold like a Vee or flat for storage, they’re cheap and take a real beating)
Coil racks (truck stop, mytee, US Cargo control, Facebook, I usually just grab them wherever I find them as the price is usually not that significant)
Coil tarps (we cut down our old tarps to 20x12 or so, a keep the cutoff pieces for tarp patches) Not an exact measurement. Easy to handle, light weight and expendable.
Tarp repair, we keep a roll of gorilla tape on each truck for quick repairs on the fly.
H66 vinyl adhesive and leftover pieces from old tarps for more serious repairs.
1 quart for $28.00 from Mytee for multiple large repairs (about once a year for 3 trucks)
4 ounce $12.00 from Amazon is better for single truck operation. Unless you have a bunch of tarps with multiple patches needed, the smaller can is less susceptible to a nasty spill in a toolbox.

Any local trailer dealer or even truck dealer.
You'll also find some places with good deals on things throughout the country.

Im going to be hauling from loadboards, so its going to be alot of Misc things im hauling.

    I'm buying 5 16ft chains, and 6 20ft chains, 2 7x7x7 coil tarps, 8 chain binders, 2 27ft tarps with 8ft drop, 2 27 ft tarps with 4ft drop, 100 bungees, 30 plastic edge protectors, 15 metal edge protectors, 15 4inch straps, and 4 2inch straps.

I know other things that I need, but was slightly unsure of how many of the items above id need. Does this seam reasonable? too overkill on something? not enough of something?
