I pass you guys all day long on the highway, so I know your out there.
Yet I hardly ever see a tanker taking his 10 hour break at a truck stop.
Your stopping and sleeping somewhere. It must be at the customers.

A lot of tanker work is out and back.
When i ran regional usually tried staying at the customer when possible, most of my runs were boarder line turnable. But did spend 10s at truck stops or service plazas. Also a lot of tank co. Pay for hotelsMaverick Griff, KillingTime, Shock Therapy and 3 others Thank this. -
I'm at pilot or FJ most nights. I guess they're aren't as many of us as vans.

I sleep at my home. In my bed. With my wife. Every day (wife works in daytime, I work nights. Makes for good sleeping)

most of the time it's at the tank wash, if not the terminal......

i drive milk tanker, home daily; but the company im with does have sleeper trucks. the furthest they go is ny to Wisconsin i believe. some of the transport drivers sleep out on the road but ALL of the farm pickup guys are home daily.

We have nice trucks and trailers so we hide from them van drivers. I tend to stay at our shipper/recivers or in hiddy holes that Ive found over the years and I keep them a secret.
