    2001 KW T800.
I have a side compartment on each side of the sleeper, key wont go it, wont lock...
Went to KW dealer, parts guy seemed clueless. 3 of them were all puzzled like I requested nuclear launch codes or something. He can only get me an entire set, ignition, doors, side compartment doors. All I need it 2 locks, the same key for both would be nice but i'll settle for 2 different keys. Anyone know where I can get these? Is it possible? Part number by chance?

Individual locks can be ordered keyed to your truck however it takes about 2-3 weeks to show up and they have to be special ordered.
Thats why the parts guys were pushing the full set which they would have had on hand and it would have re-keyed everything.
If you are ok with 2 keys, buy the full set and only re-key the jockey boxes.

MHC has em. It's still a kit of 3, though (ignition, two box locks)

Will your ignition key fit into all your locks? Find a locksmith or do it yourself. Take apart the offending lock cylinders. Then install the key in the cylinder. File of the brass spades sticking out flush with the housing and reassemble. Deed done.
Some require the proper key to disassemble but can often times be worked around using a key blank. Work it back and forth a tumbler at a time. Making a long slope on top of the leading edge may help. They usually have another lock that must be released. A tab where the tumblers are or a hole next to where the key goes. Put a paper clip in it.
Some are not very easy and require being turned to a position that requires the key. Others are a snap.

Ignition key is too big, it fits the ignition and big doors, there is another smaller key that came with it, I think they call them "Briggs & Stratton" keys, smaller, has a KW on it, I was told was for those side compartment doors but the locks are rough and it wont even go in. They sure seem to make it difficult to change a couple locks.

So lets assume these are the correct keys. Not the ones that were for the locking fuel caps that are no longer on it. Spray WD40 it the locks. If they have a cover push them open with a knife while spraying with a straw. Clasp the key with vise grips, be nice. Work it back and forth and see if you can get the key to go in. If it goes in great. Take it out and more spray. Then put the key back it and work it back and forth trying to turn it. You can use some pressure but try to never bend the key. That is to much pressure. Hope that works out for you.

For just the cost of a locksmith to come out to the truck I would think the locks could be had. If i didnt care about cost i'd just replace them all with a keyed set from Kenworth for $2000. I'd just like 2 complete tumblers with keys in them to swap.

Get the tumblers from a locksmith. They can set the tumblers to the keys you have. Then replace them yourself.
