Is there any more efficient way (that is still effective) for a student driver to apply to multiple potential employers than having to go to each company's website and fill out an online application?
For example, could I put together an email with say, a copy of my resume, my MVR, my DD214 (to verify veteran status), a standard period of unemployment/self employment affidavit, etc. to send to a bunch of companies instead of having to fill out an application at each company's website?
Is there a standard driver application form somewhere that I could complete once and send to multiple companies that I'm interested in working for and have them accept it? (I'm talking about one that I can download and complete and attach to an email along with the other documents I listed. I've already filled out a couple of generic online apps that claim to send your info to various companies.)
Thanks in advance for your responses.

I do not think that would be a problem at all. -
I don't think you can have both efficient and effective . Google trucking jobs multiple employers and there are services that will send your application to multiple companies .
If you do this how effective is it when your application comes in with thousands of others ? -
The most efficient way to apply to multiple companies is to go to one of those truck driver job hunting sites like jiggyjobs, layover, careersingear, etc. One application gets sent out to like 50 companies.
If you apply at a company website, that could take 15-30 minutes. Multiply that by how many different companies you want to apply at that day. These sites, you just do it once and they send it out to a bunch of companies. You'll get some confirmation emails from the companies you applied to and if you're lucky, someone will followup either with an email or a phone call. Some times as early as that day! (if it's a normal business day, that is)
The downside is that you'll get placed on some companies job hiring spam list. I still get emails from companies like Schneider and Panther about 'new hiring opportunities in your area!'.The Gryphon Thanks this. -
I was looking for something that would allow me to target the specific companies where I want to submit an application rather. -
jiggyjobs.com is a good website that gets looked @by lots of various types of trucking companies and trucking recruiters.they have a good online driver application and by including your email address on the application, companies can email you directly w/links to their websites where you can find out more about them and their specific qualification requirements,as well as fill out their online driver application if you decide your interested.i did it when i changed companies after 6yrs,and i had alot of inquiries from good companies that i didn't really think about specifically looking into them, but once they contacted and i checked them out,i'm now driving for an excellent smaller trucking company.best website i ever spent time on,and a great payoff in the end.good luck.
The Gryphon Thanks this. -
I can't remember the name, sorry. But I bet it would turn up in a google search. Might take you awhile to dig through the sites. But, it could save an enormous amount of time overall. -
I wouldn't fill out any apps until you have narrowed it down to a few and have talked to the recruiters about the requirements. Pick a couple of your favorite after that and then fill out the apps. There's no reason for filling out mass apps. Unless you are just looking for mass responses.

may be talking about find a trucking job.com.that site allows you to fill out their online application and you can send it directly to the companies you choose that are linked up with them.they have a decent amount of companies to go thru, alot of them are your bigger companies, but alot of the time, for a newer driver startin out, those companies will welcome you right in.good way to get in a couple-few years experience and find something better if you likely decide your first company wasn't the best your ever gonna do.also,truckersearch.com is pretty good for letting you fan out your app to specific companies and i thought they had a decent selection of some leeser known trucking companies.

findatruckingjob.com is a pretty decent site to set up your online app and send it out to just the companies your intersested in.keep in mind that alot of these type sites have alot of the bigger companies linked up with them and those will be the majority of your choices of who to send your app to from that website, but just starting out,it's a good way to get your experience and certainly will educate you quickly about what not to like about your new career, but always remember,we all start somewhere, take what we learn, and go somewhere better..happy trails and much luck.
