I know that have a difference in GVWR but what would the actual difference in the tractor be? For example, I see some single screw Columbia's that are rated 7 and some that are rated 8. They both are 10 speed with same transmissions and axles.

The gvwr is the difference. Basically what the weight it can handle including the weight of its self. 7 and 8 are both considered heavy duty but an 8 should be able to haul more.

Mine is a single screw with a sleeper Columbia.
    Does that make mine a 7 1/2 ?

Hair is what is on your head.
Rabbit is that toy your wife enjoys when you are on the road :)

Does anyone have a serious answer? I know that it's a rating, but what makes the rating?
