    I want to have a weapon of some kind. Right now I'm thinking folding pocket knife to carry on me and a baseball bat in the cab... Would I be legal in all 50?

    I carry a hatchet within reach of the drivers seat.
    It has a notch to pull nails, so I would tell anyone I use it to pull nails from wood floor trailers and pallets.

    i like that hatchet but I'm not sure I would wanna hit someone with it since I don't think its legal to hatchet people even in self defense is it? the laws are weird. Bear mace though... That would be cool... Then get a really nice hammer for pulling and banging on nails... That's the plan lol

    Ah man is that legal? I would feel much safer during pre and post trip if I had one of those in hand... (tire thumper) cant that be considered a billy club?
