What's the pay like? What types of trucks do they use? Day cab or sleeper trucks? Do they run local, dedicated, regional or otr? What do they haul? Do they use more than one type of trailer?
What's it like to drive for Bynum transport out of auburndale Florida?

Why don't you check out their website?
GoneButNotForgotten Thanks this. -
They run a mix of sleeper tractors, don't appear to favor one particular make.
They definitely do OTR I see them all over the country. They appear to mainly do food grade tanker as that's what I do which is why I see them all over at many of the same customers I go to. -
Kiss home goodbye

When I spoke with them years ago I was told it was a “retirement job”. Just drive the truck, no messing with hoses or anything. Pay was low back then though.

I liked Indian River better from what I Gathered from talking with drivers up north when I was hauling milk.
-
The Bynum driver I spoke to said to stay at IRT and that he was looking to leave for a small home weekly operation.

Rate of pay is decent, but I am very unsatisfied with the miles...and all the sitting around. -
Redtwin Thanks this.

IRT is great were it not for the miles and not paying for drop hooks or detention after 2hrs as other companies do. Trucks are well equipped, pull very good, shop guys are great, no cameras and they can go the speed limit in almost every state, etc. Also I have yet to pull a junky trailer and I can go for days without hearing from dispatch.
If I didn't have a financial goal I am trying to reach I wouldn't consider other companies but I'm going to give it 6 months here then see what else is out there. Hopefully miles pick up by then.
