what years are pre egr on DD series 60

Pretty much everything had EGR by about '03.

 

Likely not. I say that because I don't know the history of the truck and someone could have swapped a newer engine in at some point. A model year 1999 Series 60 shouldn't have EGR though.

 

My 99 Detroit doesn't have it. I also have a 03 T600 with a 02 model year engine without it.

Late 2002 and up Model Year Trucks all had EGR, which is why many Trucking Companies scrambled to order and purchase Pre-2003 MY trucks before the implementation of Emission Control Devices.

EGR was on all 12.7L and 14.0L Detroit Series 60 (engines), built after 10/2002.

Some 2003 MY trucks could have had a Pre-EGR engine installed at the Factory, it all depends when the engine was manufactured.

 

Still have that pre egr? Willing to sell it??

 

I have a 1998 12.7l 9200 runs good and many new parts. Will sell or going to replace motor becuase mechanic says it is taking months to get parts to rebuild. I am still running it - it has 50 # pressure just a lot of blowby. About a gallon every 2,000 mi or so.
