What winter socks would you recommend, best material for keeping feet warm?

wool is best. But you wont find anything good at Walmart. anything they have will be a blend with 10 percent wool. Try to find 80 percent or higher. Darn Tuff Socks, are the best in my opinion expensive but come with lifetime warranty. Also wool doesn't stink so you can wear them 2-3 days.

Try these guys. They know what it takes to work outside in cold weather.

 

My choice, which happens to be pretty cheap and last for-freaking-ever:

Costco Kirkland brand Merino Wool trail socks.
Like $19 for six pairs.
They are even shilling them on Amazon......

 

Yes...I like the Costco socks as well.

 

First, keep your feet clean and as dry as possible and your socks clean, change them every day or even more often if you feet get wet. Have an extra pair of shoes / boots and change them out often especially if they get wet, most stores have some pretty cheap boot socks, Wool socks will work if you do not do a ton of walking.

Do a search on Wool Socks.
Also search silk sock liners.

Good products for a reasonable price.

 

I TOTALLY second that. I always get a pack for Christmas.... YEP, the best. And i've tried a 'many. Duluth's 'best' are close, but not as good.

Wool itches me, tbh.

(And here I thought we were talking about wheel socks in lieu of chains, or in addition to... sheesh, LoL~! )

 

Pulling a reefer or dry van?

Flip flops seem to work in January just as well as July. No socks needed.

Flatbed? Tanker? Get yourself a good pair of insulated work boots, regular cotton socks and keep your feet moving.
