Place I did it at had to open the doors on all cans and vans before spotting them in the door.
Don't be surprised when you start to get tired from climbing up and down from the goat. I would climb either in or out of the goat to open or close doors about 80 to a hundred times per shift.
Day shift was shipping night was receiving. Would pull the stuff from the doors that carriers had not picked up, And start spinning in the trailers from the yard for the receiving folks to unload. As receiving finished a trailer and flipped the dock light to green would pull the empty to the yard and replace with an empty for shipping to fill during the day.
Also find out about refueling. I had to run the goat with a 50 MPH top speed on a 40 mile round trip to refuel it at a corporate approved spot. That was a bit challenging on the kidneys with no rear suspension.
