This is pretty moronic. One 3 occasions I have tailgated by our own company's trucks. I was doing 35 in a 30 yesterday, I look in my mirror and see a green 379 up my ads. Tailgating in a truck is probably the very worst thing you can do. I have told the boss firmly, I AM not speeding. The boss was one of the jerks tailgating me once talking to him is a useless gesture. I called a couple of places yesterday but they were not hirring right now. I have an application out right now I am waiting on.
I have two options pull over to the side of the road or brake check the next looser that tailgates me. I wanted to brake check him so bad, then call the boss now you have two wrecked trucks and you cannot do anything to me because he rear ended me lol.
If the are trying to push me into speeding it's not going to work
What should I do about being tailgated

Simple solution, slow down and let them pass. Problem solved.

Another simple solution
Don't worry about it.
If you have to stop, and they don't, their problem. What ever happens that is out of your control, you can't worry about it, just ensure yourself a means to drive safely and don't put yourself into a situation that you have jam on the brakes, -
I just gradually slow down until they pass.austinmike, born&raisedintheusa, cybill234 and 3 others Thank this. -

Never brake check them. It's an aggressive driving move. You do that than you become a more dangerous a driver than them. The term manslaughter or murder may potentially be in your jacket.
Just try not to worry about it, drive the speed limit or better, and keep staying close to the fog line so they can easier see if it's safe to pass.Lepton1, born&raisedintheusa, TaterWagon#62 and 2 others Thank this. -
"on average" i am nearly always in the middle or far right lane. i and doing "usually" 5-10 mph ABOVE the speed limits posted.
i will NOT speed up, but if possible, i most certainly WILL MOVE OVER. but if i cannot i maintain that speed limit, i will NOT speed up.
in fact, i WILL SLOW DOWN, and i don't care. there are other lanes to get around me, and if the rummy behind me cannot see what's in front of me? screw him!
i cannot tell you how many times, i have seen so many truck drivers...DRIVING IN THE LEFT LANE...even when there is NO ONE in front of them, so what's the deal there..???
so the debate/argument of "not being able to get into the left lane to pass, is horse pucky....!!!!!Last edited: Aug 10, 2017

I can not tell you how many times a construction zone instructs trucks use left lane [multiple times] then other trucks and cars get mad that you're driving at or slightly above the active work zone speed limit in the left lane, so they have to speed around in the right lane then have the audacity to flip you off.
