Don't just tell them the good about Landstar!!! Tell them about how there hasn't been freight for #### in the last two years. Tell them how 98% of every load that they see on that board goes to places that no one wants to go because you can't get out of them. Tell them how all the money they see on that board get's smashed by all there fee's and shorter than short mileage they are figured on to make the loads look sweet and how that the agents put the fuel surcharge into the rate to make the rate look acceptable. Tell them about how Landstar won't protect them when the dead head 300 miles to pick up a load that isn't there. Tell them how Landstar does not make the agents pay up the detention fee's they owe the driver. Tell them how the compliance department bugs the living #### out of you and your Dr's for the nit picking paperwork. Tell them how rude some of the people are at Landstar when speaking with them. Tell them about how the load email notification boards are set up so that you can't put a date on them so you get 500 emails a day and your supposed to pull over or have them call your phone for each one of them. Tell them how it feels to sit in Dallas and when you see a load posted and you have the agents phone ringing in 30 seconds after the load is posted but you were beat and the load is no longer available. Tell them how it seems that decent freight is like a man throwing a steak in the midst of 100 waiting dogs. Not counting how it feels after countless times of agents calling you and telling you your load you won has been cancled and it's 11am in the morning and you have already delivered and all the meat has been thrown for the day. Tell them the whole package!!!

It's just everytime I read another post about Landstar all they ever say is the good. No one tell the crap we deal with to be able to pick and choose our loads and stay home for UP TO 2 WEEKS before they come and get your trailer (Then you have to wait days to get another one and bobtail "wherever" to get it at your expense).

What I find hilarious is that wreckless hates them so much, BUT IS STILL LEASED TO THEM. That is funnier than watching an episode of Blue Collar Comedy.

If they suck so much then LEAVE.

Did you hear me say I hate them??? I never said that, I am just giving "The Rest of the story":biggrin_25513: I am with them because of the freedom to choose which #### load I take and not having a dispatcher. That is why Landstar exist, if not for that they wouldn't be no more of a company than any other backwood O/O company. By those two reasons above it puts them above the rest if that is the most important reasons to you.

Are you saying Mr. Moderator that I am telling a lie to these people??? Tell this forum that I have no idea what I am talking about.... Take each example I made in my original post and tell everyone here which one I am lying about!!! I bet you, I can prove each example you point out that I am telling the truth!!!

Be sure to reply Mr. Moderator, I would really like to have this debate with you.........:biggrin_25523:

Maybe you didn't use the actual word "hate" but any body can see that you hate em.
I'll bite but you won't like the results, AND you better read the site rules that you agreed to abide by before you start getting language infractions.

2005 was an awesome yr for freight, and besides the market goes in cycles, if LS doesn't have freight then the rest don't either

You know you are lying about this. If that was the case they would only move 2% of their loads. that isn't happening.

All fees were disclosed on the lease agreement YOU signed.

You are correct about this. Be smarter than they are and figure your own miles before accepting the load.

Some agents do this but I always forced them to break it out for me.

Your lease agreement that YOU signed states you are to receive at least $250 truck ordered not used. Hold them to it. How ever it also states that unless the shipper pays it, you won't get it.

unless the shipper pays it, you won't get it

Learn how to do the paper work RIGHT and they won't bug you!!!!! I wasn't continually harassed.

Every body I dealt with was professional. Stop being rude to them, and they won't be rude back.

Once again LEARN how to run it, and stop blaming them for you not being about to set it right. I loved the load alert because I set it to ONLY call me on what I wanted. Sure a few slipped thru but NOT 500 a day because I knew how to use it. Its very user friendly to those with any computer literacy at all.

That does happen. Please explain how that is their fault when they operate as first come first serve????????

Thats life in a first come first serve business. One of the hazards of the business.

Sure getting a load canceled sucks. But it doesn't happen COUNTLESS TIMES. Learn what agents are good and which ones are not. Stop calling the ones that aren't good. Canceled loads are a hazard of the business. Learn to roll with it. You make it sound as if there are no loads and you can't run. That simply is not true. I was bumping that blasted 70 hr rule all the time. There is plenty of work for those that want to work.

Like I said before, if it sucks so much LEAVE. You make yourself look :biggrin_25523: :biggrin_25523: :biggrin_25523: :biggrin_25523: :biggrin_25523: going around complaining to high heaven but won't leave. You are like many of the guys I ran into that had been with LS far longer than I had. ######## and moaning about how much they suck. Ask them how long they've been with LS...........18 yrs too $$T%U(*&^%^& long.

    rig_jockey Thanks this.
