The truck I was issued is a pain in the ### to get in and out of the trailer. It needs to be cleaned and some kind of lubricant.
What kind of lubricant can I use on the 7 pin electrical plug?

Dip it in the fuel tank, slap the cleanest looking grease off the fifth wheel you can find on it. Done. Till you can buy some dielectric grease. Use it on the plug, anytime you change a bulb. When it’s not available, any grease is better than nothing,

But yeah - brake cleaner, contact cleaner, followed with dielectric grease.
I guess diesel would probably clean the crud out in a pinch.TawcoTruck, JoeyJunk, Hammer166 and 3 others Thank this. -
I've used WD40 to clean, followed by a dab of dielectric grease in each hole of the 7 pin on pigtail. Work it in and out a couple times and be good to go.
indy89, TawcoTruck, bzinger and 2 others Thank this. -
