I have my class-a cdl permit and I need a job really bad, got some debt to pay off.
I live in the dallas fort worth area.
    Pay doesn't matter.
    Any ideas on a job?

Having a CDL is half of the equation, having a [fairly] clean MVR is the other half. Are you tied to family and need to remain in the DFW area? Single and don't mind moving to where the work is? You might also look into the Rental car places. They are often looking for drivers to move cars around between satellite offices and DFW/DAL in the mean time until you can get something else together that pays better.

Otherwise drop into some of the oilfield operations in and between the Decatur and Gainesville area. There are all sorts of driving positions, some CDL-A hazmat, some not, but simply moving parts around from place to place. If you can get into an entry level position at a reputable, national oil/gas company, your future options and financial possibilities will expand greatly.

Millis Transfer just opened a training school in TX. You have to have your permit and DOT physical before you go. It's a good stable company with good pay and miles and they take care of their equipment and drivers.
    Check them out.

That's like peanut butter without jelly, Bonnie without Clyde, Viagra without a woman... you get the idea! :)

The only way you'll make money with a CDL permit is writing a book about it. "Broke with my CDL Permit".

Maybe you can write a song? "I got the Texas CDL Permit Blues".

Jokes aside, finish your training and get your CDL.

Did you figure out which school yet?
    One post mentioned Millis.
Prime is good also if your money is tight. They pay $600.00 a week while riding with a trainer.
I read that Raider Express in Ft. Worth has pretty good school, but don't know the cost.
