New to the industry and we are trying to figure out what rates to charge for belly dump hauls. Any advice would be appreciated.

There's an awful lot of dirt (ie caliche, rock, sand) hauled in the oilfield. Building and maintaining lease roads and pads is pretty much oilfield.

I guess we can split hairs over it but when I was operating my excavation company if Id have built roads out in the oil fields, I wouldn't have considered it an oil field job.

So now this has peeked my curiosity because I have someone willing to lease me a belly dump trailer. Now Im wanting to know what the $ for that work is like out west. In SA you can gross 1k-1100/day.
