either one can.
I ran regional (MN/WI/IL/IA/MO) last year and was home every weekend. -
Regional routes are 3-4 state areas usually.
Dedaicated routes are set customers you deal with all the time could be any where, multipal states usually.
Home time will depend on the route and the company you go with and where you live. -
So regional and dedicated are pretty much the same type of job/work?
-
please disregard the reply above.

preciate it. -
No they can vary depending on the job. I ran a dedicated job once that went for New Hampshire to Wisconsin and back once a week through Canada. Pretty long dedicated route. I run a regional account now dedicated to a specific mill and I'm home every night and weekends. You can go either way on this one.

Dedicated is when you have a customer you deliver to every time. For example, if you're on a Home Depot account, you deliver to only Home Depot. Most of the time the same stores every time. Just basically the same deal, different week. Regional is when you stay within 600 miles or so from the terminal but you have random customers. Dedicated and regional both will get you home often. Dedicated pays more.

regional can mean anywhere from three states to twelve.home time can very but more than likely it will be a 34 hour break at home.
ddicated can mean short line, like out of your terminal, swap and back to your terminal(home nightly) or it can be set up like a mini regional run.It all depends on the company and how they mover freight.
