Hi. On Tuesday I will be doing 3 drops, one on Pasco, WA, two in Bend, OR and three in Portland, OR. I got the first 2 figured out but am concerned about the best route from Bend to Portland. I know I could backtrack to 84 but wondered if 20 to 126 to 22 to I-5 is a good route. It is listed by Rand Mcnally as a truck route but looks like it goes over a good mountain range so I am unsure. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Also seeing backtrack 97 North and the 26 West fron Madras to Portland seems like maybe a better route.

If your company "routes you", just go the way they authorize and pay. If not, via Mill City is the way I'd go. but then it might come down to where the Portland drops are and how they are ordered. US 26 and Hood River may be a better option if first drop is in NE Portland area (like Albertsons). Portland traffic is awful during peak periods all up and down and around.

I only have one drop in Portland and it is in Fairview at Bobcat of Portland (I am flatbed). Also my company does not route me but does use practical miles to pay. I am free to go however I want but get paid a set mile depending on beginning and ending destinations.

I’m going to take my statement back. Running 26 is 40 miles shorter to where you’re going. Plus you don’t have to come into town on 5.

Yes I was thinking that would be best since I am basically going to North Portland. Thanks again.

I apologize that I did not make my first post clear. I should have said Pasco first, Bend second, and Portland third. It just occurred to me that it looked like I had 3 drops in Portland the way I worded it. Thanks again for your help.

58 is a bit further south than I would like to go. I think I will go back North on 97 to 26 West in Madras and that will take me right into Portland. It is listed as a truck route.
