Find a copy of the laminated spiral bound Rand McNally Truck Atlas, but be aware of the disclaimer, not everything is in there.
It is the most correct map to plan routes. The newer the better.
Large scale is overkill for most users, too many pages and too heavy and it isn't printed every year with updated information.sevenmph, KillingTime, passingthru69 and 3 others Thank this. -
Yes, @25(2)+2 is right; that's also what I use. I use the laminated "Large Print" version though because my eyesight isn't what it used to be.

Hmm, in this day and age, I can't believe someone would actually ask that. Before electronics, the Rand McNally Motor Carriers Atlas was the book to have. We called it "The Road Bible". While no publication is going to be 100% accurate, they make every attempt to update it. Still can't believe it. Like old clothes styles that come around again.
